“Oyo n pe o,” which literally translates to “Oyo needs you,” is his adopted campaign moniker. He believes that the residual power to elect their own by singing with their thumbs on the election day lies with his people. After all, in democracy nothing counts like the majority’s acclamation.
Oriyomi Hamzat perhaps wants to leverage on his power of the Mic to harness votes through his human relation skills and on-air generosity. That’s a minimalist approach.
Whilst I agree with him that effective communication skills are a necessary requirement in choosing a visionary leader and also a vehicle to convey his strategic plans, of course, it takes a back roll, not the epicentre.
Altruism is often projected as a natural attribute. it’s not either, so this is how Oriyomi wants to plough back his philanthropic gestures on air. No wonder why they say, “Altruism is a coded theory”.

With integrity, Allan Simpson says, “Nothing else matters.” If you could not manage a mere big note printing saga, I wonder how you will govern a cosmopolitan state like Oyo.
