A frontline aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for House of Representative from Egbeda/Ona-Ara federal constituency, Hon Oluwasegun Akinsanya Kure has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Hon Akin Alabi, a Member of the House of Representative on his chieftaincy elevation and installation as Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland approved by His Imperial Majesty, Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin (Ige Olakulehin I).
Hon Akinsanya Kure made this statement on Friday morning where he described the ascension of Hon Akin Alabi from Mogaji to Jagun Olubadan as further evidence of the beauty, deep rooted culture and organisation of the Ibadan traditional leadership system.
“I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Oloye Akin Alabi on his chieftaincy elevation as Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland by His Imperial Majesty, Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I, this is indeed a significant step in promoting the beautiful and deep rooted culture of the Ibadan traditional leadership system.
“No gainsaying that the Ibadan traditional structure is by far one of the most organized traditional monarch system in the world, I therefore call on my brother, Hon Akin Alabi to further use his new traditional role to further promote and preserve the legacies that have made Ibadan not only an ancient city but also a respected city with rich history and traditional significance all around the world.
Hon Akinsanya Kure also prayed for the new Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland to be even more steadfast in his new responsibilities as Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland and more importantly to strongly uphold the rich tradition and overall progress of Ibadanland.
