The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) affiliate clubs have voted for Barrister Ajeniyi Ajewole and the entire Consolidation team for a second term in office as the President General of the Ibadan Indigenous Clubs as well as the other executive offices.
This was confirmed on Friday after the electoral committee led by Dr. Mojeed Kolawole Lawal declared Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole as the CCII President General for a second term in office.
This was after the affiliate clubs went to the polls to express their solidarity with the different teams that stood out to unite with their different candidates against each other. The Ajewole led team are the Consolidation team while Mogaji Olukayode Taiwo team are the New Era team.

According to the electoral committee who presided over the election, which was held at the Bode Amoo Hall of Ibadan Huse at Oke-Aremo in Ibadan, 116 affiliate clubs were eligible to vote amongst all the numerous CCII affiliate clubs, 112 were accredited to vote and 4 clubs were unaccredited perhaps due to different reasons.
Chief Ajewole won a return ticket for the President-General office for another two years in office with a massive victory after he polled 88 votes to Mogaji Taiwo’s 24 votes.
The position of the Chief Whip had Mrs Abolaji Olowookere with 81 votes to Mrs Awotoye Adegbola 31 votes.
Mr Oyerinde Abayomi who contested unopposed for the role of the Internal Auditor of CCII won with 112 votes.
Alhaja Folashade Olayiwola won the Social Secretary role again with 81 votes to Awotunde Adebola’s 29 votes.
Barrister Akinsola Ige won the Legal Adviser with 81 votes to Barrister Akinsunbo Akande 30 votes.
Mr Oyasogo Olumuyiwa won the Financial Secretary office with 89 votes over Mr Olabiyi Bamidele with 23 votes.
Mr Kolawole Olomide returned as Publicity Secretary of the CCII with 75 votes over Prince Paul Akano who polled 35 votes.
Mr Raufu Iyanda won the Second Assistant Secretary General post with 85 votes over Oladimeji Billy who had 23 votes and Ojedele with 3 votes.
Mogaji Kunle Shodeinde won the 1st Assistant Secretary General with 87 votes over Ismail Salawu who had 24 votes.
Prince Caleb Akande was declared winner for the post of the Treasurer with 84 votes over Gbadamosi Ismaila Adebamidele with 28 votes.
The Secretary General’s post was left unopposed with Mr. Adetokunbo Subair as the only contender with 109 votes.
The Second Vice-President was won by Comrade Abiodun Amoo JP with 69 votes over Bashir Omotosho who had 40 votes.
The First Vice-President was also unopposed for Alh. Ramoni Oyebamiji with 109 votes.
