As parts of his avowed mission to positively engage the youths and stretch their skills for future challenges, the member representing Ibadan North East and South East in federal Constituency at the House of representatives Abass Agboworin, has blazed another exemplary trail by using the instrument of leadership training to hone the skills and build horizons of youths age cohorts to be more proactive in nation building.
According to Agboworin, “its instructive to expand our dragnet to safe our teeming age groups from the mires of drugs abuse and other reprehensible acts by giving them alternative path to excel and be useful to themselves and the society”.
Agboworin who is the chairman of Narcotics and Youths drugs in the house of representatives in the National Assembly is noted for taking various proactive strides to wean away the youths from abuse and he has promised to abuse and he has promised to leave no stone unturned in creating a positive social path for the youths who are the architect of our future by harnessing their leadership potentials.
In statement signed and made available to the press in Ibadan by his head of media unit, the programme with the theme, “leadership initiative for tomorrow leaders in politics” will hold at the International Conference Centre of the University of Ibadan DV on Monday 3rd, 2024″.
The Summit, entitled” Agboworin FLIP 1.0 “is targeted at the Youths in various spheres such as Youths drawn from 10 Local Government areas, Youth Council, Youth Parliament, Social Clubs, Youth Parliament CAN, MSSN and others and will offer opportunities to expos participants to to theoretical and practical knowledge of political leadership.
They will also have singular opportunity during the interactive sessions to brainstorm and exchange ideas with the lawmaker on community development.
The guest lecturer will be professor Remi Aiyede of Department of Political Science, University of Ibadan. Other eminent personalities are expected to be in attendance to grace the occasion. They include, the Chairman/CEO of Ilaji Resort and Hotels, Engr. Dotun Sanusi; a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Federal Constituency Matters, Hon. Dare Adeleke; Member of Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Ibadan North East Constituency 1, Hon. Abiodun Babalola; Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Miss Wasilat Adegoke; Hon Abiodun Ekolo; Engr AkiAkinleye, Hon. Kazeem Yinka (Bibire) Oyo State PDP Youth Leader and others.
The Summit which is described as momentous and timely by a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in the State who is from South West Local government, Honourable Dare Adeleke will open another vista for Youths engagement in productive ventures.
