Even the Bible frowns at a precarious situation when someone hopefully counts on a thing, and it ends up on the rocks. Proverbs 13 vs 12 points to this “Hope deffered makes the heart sick but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life”.
When you deeply desire a reward and it seems to have a footsdrag, one may resort to despair and begin asking himself a Mario Balotelli’s famous” Why Always Me Question”?
A deffered expectation weighs down the heart, but fulfilment energies the spirit. The moral lesson of patience as a harbinger of fulfilling a lost hope is key here.

Eleko Idere, a scintillating parable within the verse of Ifa corpus, offers a didactic lesson why one should not lose hope and patiently bides his time. “Eleko idere” is full of complaints of having bad luck, which is hindering his ability to make profits despite his hard work. With time, to cut a long story short, the narrative changes, and Eleko idere is visited by endless fortune. And people’s amazement was encapsulated in a powerful song.
“O ro’so dudu, o si tun r”oso pupa, o laya nile, o si tun l’esin leekan. Eleko idere, se bi oloojere” (you have different clothes, wives, and different horses in your manger, and you complain of not making enough profit).
Ekolo, Abiodun Adedoja is a dedicated PDP man from ibadan South East. He doesn’t only love the party but often puts it in fast and praying that it may succeed. He mobilises support for the party, and his efforts bring back those who are, for specific reasons, have stayed put from the party activities. His temperate words and homilies did the magic. His passion to make the party a party to beat is too obvious for a new emphasis.
Just at the moment when he was having a forlorn hope that nothing forthcomes from a party to which he has invested much, his new appointment entered to spring a suprise, cool like a night rain. To God be the glory.
Today, Honourable Abiodun Adedoja Ekolo is the special advisor on energy to the governor of Oyo state. I have no doubt that he has everything it takes to succeed in his new post by God’s grace.
His appointment will serve as a lesson to all that “Loyalty may go unnoticed for a while, but it is never unrewarded”.
On behalf of Honourable Abiodun Adedoja, I humbly send my profound gratitude to Governor Oluseyi Makinde, the destiny helper, all the leaders and members of our great party in Ibadan South East and Oyo state in general for a dream come true. Gracias!
Please join me in pouring your congratulations to a devoted party man, a party apparacthik, Abiodun Adedoja Ekolo.
