A condolence message has gone to the people of Oyo community and the family of late Chief Lasisi Ayanyinka Ayankojo, a zonal leader and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, over the death of the party leader.
The condolence message was contained in a statement by Dr. (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, wife of Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the late former two- term governor of Oyo State on Wednesday.
“I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your beloved father, Chief Ayankojo. My heart goes out to you all during this difficult time”, She said.
She described Chief Ayankojo as an extraordinary individual, a pillar of strength, wisdom, and compassion. “His passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched”, She said.
Part of the message reads: “I have fond memories of Chief Ayankojo’s unwavering commitment to the cause of Oyo State, good governance and the ideals of democracy. He exemplified the true spirit of the progressives which he was until his transition. He was a true leader, a mentor, and a friend to many. He was a loyal and supportive associate of my husband”.
“As a family, we share in your grief and sorrow. We mourn the loss of a remarkable individual who left an indelible mark on our lives. We take comfort in the knowledge that Chief Ayankojo lived a full and meaningful life, and that his memory will continue to inspire and motivate us.
“To the children and grandchildren, I want to remind you that your father and grandfather may be gone, but his spirit, wisdom, and love will continue to guide and direct you. Hold on to the memories, cherish the moments you shared with him, and strive to emulate his example”.
