Prince Ashimiu Afeez Adio, a strong APC chieftain in Oyo State held an important meeting with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume to discuss issues bothering on youths employment with focus on technology and skills development.
This was contained in a press release by Prince Afeez Adio which he made available to News247Naija, he expressed the true essence of the meeting which also includes creating an environment that supports entrepreneurship and innovation to create new job opportunities.
The full statement reads:
“I had a crucial meeting with our SGF, Former Governor of Benue State, His Excellency George Akume on how to develop our dear country more.
“Foremost on our discussion is the creation of more job opportunities for youths as a crucial factor for economic growth and youth empowerment.” Prince Adio said.
“This will provide access to education and training programs focused on technology and skills development, we also emphasized the need to equip young individuals with the tools they need to succeed in the changing job market. Additionally, fostering partnerships between the government, private sector, and civil society can help create an environment that supports entrepreneurship and innovation, leading to the creation of new job opportunities.” He added.
We both agreed that it is important to prioritize investments in sectors that have the potential for growth and are aligned with global trends, such as renewable energy, digital technology, and sustainable industries. By doing so, we can ensure that young people have a wide range of job opportunities available to them and can contribute to the overall economic development of our dear country.” Hon.
