Kaduna: Jobberman Nigeria to Organise Career Fair from November 23

To address high unemployment rate in the North, Jobberman Nigeria, has concluded plans to organise a career fair in Kaduna from November 23, 2023.

The event, an offshoot of the Young Nigeria Works programme geared at preparing 10 million young people for jobs, is being staged in partnership with Mastercard Foundation, with support from the Kaduna State government. The project provides a veritable platform for interaction between job seekers and employers in the region.

In statement, Jobberman Nigeria Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Oreoluwa Boboye, said: “More than gathering data, Jobberman is strategically positioned to design and deliver intervention programmes arising from recommendations that will reduce youth unemployment nationwide.

The Kaduna career fair is designed around the region’s peculiarities, such as increased female participation and new skills required for youth participation in the economy.”

The event would include a panel discussion on skills and qualities employers seek in a dynamic job market and a women-focused segment focused on learning from successful women leaders on balancing career and personal growth.

Speakers comprise Senior Special Assistant to Kaduna State Governor, Naja’atu Garba Ahmed; Managing Consultant, TNV Consults Ltd., Faridah Hamzat; MD/CEO at Greysoft Technologies Nigeria, Raphael Isah, among others.
