Kaduna: Speaker Abass Provides Palliatives to Constituency in Zaria, Targets 30,000 Beneficiaries

The Speaker of Federal House of Representative, Rt. Hon Tajudeen Abass has donated palliatives to his constituent members to lower the impact of hardship presently going on in the country.

The rice palliatives is targeted at meeting the need of 30,000 beneficiaries and the scheme will be in two phases.

The speaker via his X (formerly Twitter) account gave a report of the first phase of the palliative sharing.

“At the weekend, I provided rice palliatives to 15,000 people in my constituency as part of measures to cushion the effects of the current hardship Nigerians face.” he said.

“The gesture covered 13 wards of Zaria Federal Constituency, which has 584 polling units.

“This is the Phase 1 of the programme. The Phase 2 will come up later with another 15,000 people to benefit. In all, 30,000 beneficiaries are targeted.” the speaker confirmed.

“The beneficiaries cut across all political parties, including the APC, PDP, NNPP, among others. Religious and traditional leaders as well as persons living with disabilities and NGOs are also among the beneficiaries.

“The gesture is part of the activities for my 100 in office as the Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives.” he concluded.
