Lagelu Grammar School Old Boys Honours Minister of Power, Adelabu with Grand Distinguished Award

The National Body of Lagelu Grammar School Old Boys Association (LAGSOBA) has distinguishably honored the Honorable Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, who is also a member of 1987 Set of the prestigious secondary school with ‘Grand Distinguished Achiever’ award.

The award which was presented by the National President of the Association, Chief Abass Kadiri, was given during the 67th Founder’s Day celebration of the Minister’s alma mater signifying the recognition of his impacts over the years on the development of the school and education in general in Oyo State.

The minister, Adelabu, who is far away in Tanzania with President Bola Tinubu attending Africa Power Summit; Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit, as organized by the government of Tanzania in collaboration with the African Development Bank Group, was ably represented by his 1987 Set Chairman, Distinguished Lagelite Ibukun Ogunniran and one of his aides, Com. Femi Awogboro.

Reacting to the award on behalf of the Minister of Power, Com Femi Awogboro, thanks Lagelu Grammar School for finding his boss worthy of the honor as they have always been recognizing his impact.

“The minister, Adelabu, planned to attend the event in person, but on presidential order, he is in faraway Tanzania attending a summit that will further his performance as a Minister of Power, and convincing investors to invest in Nigeria power sector for the interest of all.”
