In a notable development, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has raised the monthly allowance for corps members to N77,000.
This increase comes in response to the recent adjustment in the national minimum wage, which was raised from N30,000 to N70,000.
The NYSC’s move is aimed at ensuring that the corps members’ compensation reflects the new wage standards and helps them better manage their expenses while serving their communities.
According to NYSC, payments will commence from August.
