Dr. Olukemi Afolayan, Oyo State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), who has been redeployed to the agency’s headquarters as National Director of Civic, Values, and Democracy Education, attributes her office’s success to the encouragement of NOA Director-General Mallam Lanre Isaa-Onilu, stakeholder support, and her dedicated staff.
Speaking on “Situation Room” on Fresh FM, Dr. Afolayan highlighted achievements during her tenure, which includes: regular media chats; town hall meetings across local government areas; sensitization campaigns in higher institutions and NYSC camps; establishment of Integrity Clubs in schools; grassroots awareness campaigns to mention a few.

She emphasized the agency’s efforts to combat Ponzi schemes and promote value orientation, through campaign like ‘Say No to Get Rich Quick Menace. Dr. Afolayan also stressed peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and duty of care among all citizens as necessary for national development.
Dr Afolayan also highlighted some of the memorable positives during her tenure as Oyo NOA director which she stated includes feedback and the rate of citizens acceptance of the National Anthem.
