Alhaji Abdullateef Akinsola Oloruntoki, also known as Tokyo is still alive and doing well, this was confirmed on Agbami Oselu program on Sunday morning at Fresh FM, Ibadan radio station.
The live air call from Alhaji Akinsola Tokyo, the former Oyo NURTW Chairman himself was done mainly to address the trending rumor of his death across the social media platforms.
This Sunday morning on Fresh FM popular programme, Agbami Oselu, with veteran broadcaster and radio presenter, Mr Abolade Salami cleared the air on the rumored death. While on the air, Mr. Salami deemed it fit to lay to rest the false gist surrounding the untimely death of Alhaji Tokyo, and right there he received a call from Alhaji Akinsola Tokyo himself where he spoke with his wife Alhaja Taiwo Akinsola and she told everyone to stop with the false rumor of her husband’s death.
Alhaji Akinsola himself also spoke with Mr. Salami live on air to further prove the rumour mongers wrong that he is hale and healthy.
Tokyo is alive, he did not die on Saturday, neither has he been buried according to any Islamic rites.
Akinsola Tokyo can popularly be remembered during the PDP reign of Senator Rasheed Ladoja and Otunba Alao-Akala as Governors. His regime was brought to an abrupt end by Governor Abiola Ajimobi in 2011.
