As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the skills and competencies of the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo library staff, the Adekunle Ogunmola University Library successfully organized a seminar titled “Managing Conflicts and Difficult Situations in Libraries” on Tuesday, June 23 2025 within the library premises. The seminar saw an overwhelming participation from all library staff, underscoring the importance of conflict management in fostering a harmonious and productive work environment.
Key highlights of the seminar showed that the seminar was designed to equip staff with strategies for identifying, addressing, and resolving conflicts effectively. It equally emphasized the importance of communication, empathy, and teamwork in managing workplace conflicts. Interactive sessions and case studies were used as illustrations.

The seminar was expertly led by the University Librarian, Dr. Olatundun Oluwatoyin Oyewumi who brought valuable insights and expertise to the topic. The presentation and facilitation were well-received by all attendees, sparking meaningful discussions and reflections. She used the occasion to commend the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan for his insights and leadership which have set a road map for the development of the University.

The renowned Librarian encouraged all library staff to apply the insights and techniques learned during the seminar in their daily interactions and work processes.
