The Vice-Chancellor, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan has felicitated Christian faithful on this glorious occasion of Easter celebration, calling on all Christians to emulate the Prince of Peace by living a life of peace.
In a release made available by ‘Wale Adeoye, the institution’s Media and Public Relations Officer, quoting the University Chief Executive, “Jesus paid the ultimate price for the salvation of everyone who believes he did it willingly. He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes, we are healed. Today, we remember his sacrifice and celebrate the power of his death. He has died for us!”
The Pioneer Vice Chancellor, on behalf of the University Management therefore wishes all Christians and the entire University community a Happy Easter. “May the peace of the season be upon every member of the University community, Oyo State and Nigeria as a nation”, the release concluded.
