The Oyo State APC Youth Progressive Union has openly thrown its weight and support behind Hon. Ashimiu Afeez-Adio of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency by recommending him for a national assignment from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.
Oyo State APC Youth Progressive Union is a strong support group that was pivotal and instrumental to creating an edge for the APC in Oyo State to achieve victory in the election.
In their statement, they appreciated President Tinubu’s selfless pursuit of building a formidable team to drive the “Renewed Hope” mandate. They hence recommended Hon. Ashimiu Afeez-Adio as a credible candidate worthy of national appointment. Their full statement below:
BEING A TEXT OF PRESS CONFERENCE ADDRESSED BY OYO STATE APC YOUTH PROGRESSIVE UNION RECOMMENDING THE PERSONALITY OF HON. ASHIMIU AFEEZ-ADIO FOR NATIONAL ASSIGNMENT IN PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU ADMINISTRATION.
Gentlemen of the Press,
We find it imperative to address you today as an important part of the nation, as it is an undeniable fact that the media has played and will continue to play a vital role towards the repositioning of Nigerian democracy, especially in the advocacy for good governance for the benefit of downtrodden Nigerians.
It is on the above trajectory, we as Oyo State APC Youths Progressive Union, wish to add our voice to the struggle for the actualization of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which is centred on uplifting the welfare and wellbeing of the poor Nigerians; a mission that is at the verge of accomplishment, considering the template put in place by Mr President.
You will recall that in various fora, during the campaign period and other sphere of his live, Mr President has exhibit his ability to appoint round peg in round hole and has stressed that he remain a talent hunter who is not afraid of employing competent persons to handle important job for the prosperity of this nation. The President personally has demonstrated this in his recent appointments of Service Chiefs, SAs, SGF and others.
As President is building up to constitute the boards for Federal Agencies, departments and appointments of heads of these bodies; we wish to utilize this precious medium to present an experienced and faithful Nigerian who is a very hardworking member of the All Progressives Congress and has worked vehemently for the victory of the party. He has also served the country in various capacity, he is no other person but ‘HON. ASHIMIU AFEEZ-ADIO. He has contributed to the growth and prosperity of this nation through his countless fiscal interventions to the less privileged Nigerians in his LGA, Federal Constituency and State.
He is a renowned grassroot mobilizer who is well loved in his constituency. He controls a large support of ardent followers whom he has proven his benevolence to in so many ways. He has also been an aspirant of the APC towards the 2019 and 2023 Federal House of Representative election race. He has impacted positively into the lives of his constituents with series of empowerment programs which further unravel the reasons for the immense support he garners, effortlessly.
He is a member of several professional bodies, who has undergone various trainings both in Nigeria and Abroad. He has his First School Leaving Certificate from St. John Catholic Church, Eleta, Ibadan, and Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE/WAEC) from Elekuro High School, both in Oyo State.
Hon. Afeez holds Diploma and Bachelor Degree (B.Sc.) in Business Administration from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State in 2010
He was a former Production Manager at El-Baraka Nigeria Limited and one time General Manager, Davesam Nigeria Limited, Mikano company limited. In 2016, he founded Olasfare Nigeria Limited where he is currently occupying the position of Managing Director; a company with diverse interests in industrial/ manufacturing machines and others.
As a bonafide member of All Progressive Congress, Hon. ASHIMIU was appointed as a Patron and Advisor for the Sabat Campaign Movement for BAT ’23, Oyo State Chapter, Nigeria. For his love and undiluted support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he accepted to act as the Oyo State Coordinator for Next-Level Consolidation Forum BAT ’23.
He was one time aspirant for the position of House of Representatives Egbeda/Ona federal constituency. He hails from Ona-Ara Local Government, Oyo State, Nigeria.
With his wealth of experience in the private sector as an employer of labour and a general consultant, we strongly believe that Hon. Ashimiu Afeez-Adio will no doubt remain an asset to the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led federal government.
