Most of the residents of Enugu State on Monday trooped out and marched around the streets of the state capital in protest against the continued Monday sit-at-home in the state. The happened after the state government on Monday moved around the state capital and sealed up businesses that continued to oblige the IPOB sit-at-home order.

We will recall that Governor Peter Mbah had banned the Monday sit-at-home since June 5, while urging the residents to go about their legitimate duties.

On Monday, however, as early as 8 am, the residents gathered under the auspices of a Coalition of Civil Society groups and marched around the state capital to encourage the people to return to their Monday businesses.
