Power Minister, Adelabu Commiserates with Senator Buhari Over Mum’s Death

Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has commiserated with the Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District in Oyo State, Senator AbdulFatai Buhari over the death of his mother, Alhaja Sarat Abeje Buhari. She died on Monday aged 98.

Adelabu in his condolence message, described Alhaja Buhari as a mother for all, whose love and impact on her children and Ogbomosoland would continue to be felt.

“I want to express my heartfelt condolences to Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, our distinguished Senator from Oyo North, on the death of his mother, Alhaja Sarat Abeje Buhari who passed on at the age of 98.

“Though death is inevitable, however, no one wishes the pain of losing a mother on anyone.

Nevertheless, I want you to take solace in knowing that Mama lived a noble and dedicated life. A life committed to good deeds to her family and the community. Not only that, Mama lived to witness the giant strides of her children as reflected in your achievement as a highly respected and distinguish lawmaker whose impact is being felt by people in your Senatorial District, Oyo State and by extension, the entire country.

“The death of a mother is such a great loss that cannot be filled by others, but I want to enjoin you to take joy in her good deeds and the good memories of her that you have.

“Indeed Ogbomoso has lost a daughter and mother whose impact knows no limit. Her enduring legacy as a mother whose door is always opened to all will never be forgotten.

“The testimonies are endless on the impact that Mama had on her children and those of others around her.

“ Indeed, Ogbomoso has lost a rare gem. May the Almighty Allah grant her Aljanah firdaus.

“And may the Almighty Allah grant you and the extended family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

As you mourn Mama’s loss, let me leave you with the words of the iconic South African leader, Nelson Mandela: “Death is something inevitable. When a man (woman) has done what he (she) considers as his (her) duty to his (her) people… he (she) can rest in peace”.

Without doubt, Mama has done her duties to her children, Ogbomosoland and she can rest in peace.
