Former Chairman Of The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Adeolu Akqnde has Congratulated Christians on the successful completion of Lent.
In a statement by his media office, he also extends his heart felt Easter wishes to Christians across the globe, and prays that their forty days fasting, prayers and supplications will not be in vain .
He admonished Christian faithful to allow peace and love that the season preaches to be their watchword as he also emphasized on the importance of prayers for both our leaders as well as the nation.
According to Professor Akande, Nigeria and her leaders need the blessings of God to survive these trying times in the world. He said leaders need the support of the citizens for their relentless efforts to lead to better life for the people.
He admonished Christians not to leave the teachings of the talent period behind, saying sacrifice and love are virtues that exalt nations.
