Professor Akande Mourns Ajimobi’s Daughter

Former Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Professor Adeolu Akande has sent the heartfelt sympathy of his family to Her Excellency, Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi, the entire Ajimobi family and the Kola-Daisi family on the death of Chief (Mrs.) Abisola Kola-Daisi (Nee Ajimobi).

Chief (Mrs.) Kola-Daisi, the first daughter of former Governor Abiola Ajimobi, passed on in the United Kingdom on Thursday, 27th March, 2025.

In a condolence message personally signed by him, Professor Akande described the late Chief Abisola Kola-Daisi as a successful  businesswoman and philanthropist whose enthusiastic attitude to life would leave a lasting impression on those who knew her.

“She was a successful businesswoman with a midas touch and a philanthropist with a heart of gold”, he said.

Professor Akande condoled with Her Execellency, Dr. (Chief) Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, noting how painful it could be to lose a daughter who was a friend and confidant.

“Our thoughts  are with  Her Excellency, Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi at this trying time. Anyone who knew the Ajimobi family would know the bond between Her Excellency and her children and could imagine how difficult this time would be for her.

“We pray that God shall be with Her Excellency at this time. We also  pray that God shall grant the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

“We sympathise with the husband, Chief Kolapo Kola-Daisi at this trying period. May God hold him and strengthen him at this time.

Professor Akande prayed that God shall rest the soul of the deceased and be with the children and family she left behind.
