He stated the importance attached to the Holy month as it is a moment to stay close to Allah, abstain from all forms of sinful acts and immoral practices.

“I rejoice with my fellow Muslim Ummah on the commencement of Ramadan. This new month does not only represent a period of fasting and abstaining from food during the day time but more importantly, a period of self reflection and moral rebirth. A moment to stay close to Allah, stay holy and practice the bidding of the Almighty Allah (SWT).

“Ramadan is a period of profound steadfastness for fasting and praying with complete obeisance to the will of Allah, the most Gracious and the Most Merciful that all our requests and prayers may come to quick fruition in this Holy month.” he stated.

Hon ARA also reminded all Muslim faithful to be fervent in their prayers and maintain good moral practices which leads to growth and advancement of our national value charter. He thereafter prayed for the spiritual will and blessings to come through this month in good health and become better persons for our community and nation.

“It is also imperative to remember that fervent prayers and good moral practice during this Ramadan helps to foster unity and peace among citizens in the country, thereby helping to promote growth and advancement of our national value charter.

“As we commence this month of Ramadan, I pray for the spiritual will and blessings for us all to come through this month in strength and good health, that we may become better persons as individuals, community and nation at the end of this month of Ramadan.” ARA concluded.
