A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress from Egbeda Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Hon. Oluwasegun Akinsanya (Kure) has expressed his utmost delight and extended his congratulation message to Muslims Ummah on the commencement of the Holy month of Ramadan.
Hon Akinsanya Kure in his message described the month of Ramadan as a period of spiritual cleansing, a period to be closer to Allah, a moment to be obeisance and noble to his words and command.
“With a deep sense of delight, I share my heartfelt congratulations to all Muslim Ummah on the commencement of the Holy month of Ramadan.
“The sight of the new moon after the month Shaban is a mark of commencement of Ramadan and we must be reminded that the Holy month also signifies love and kindness.
“This is a time to be closer to Allah, a period of spiritual cleansing, fasting and prayers to be closer to Allah, a moment to be obeisance and noble to Allah’s words and command.”
Hon Akinsanya also harped on the importance of giving alms and sharing during the month of Ramadan, he explained that these practices are noble in the eyes of Allah and create avenues for answered prayers and growth of a nation.
“I urged my Muslim faithful to remain steadfast in fasting and prayers but equally important is to imbibe the act of giving alms and sharing with our friends and neighbors during Ramadan. These practices are no doubt noble in the eyes of Allah, they also facilitate and create easy ways for answered prayers, thereby advancing the growth of the nation.” Akinsanya concluded
