TCN Restores Power Supply to Hadejia Substation, Repairs Kano-Hadejia 132kV Line

The Transmission Company of Nigeria on Wednesday announced that power supply has been restored through the Kano-Hadejia 132kV transmission line which caused power outage to Gagarawa, Hadejia Transmission Substations as well as several other communities.

“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), wishes to announce that power supply has been successfully restored through the Kano-Hadejia 132kV transmission line at approximately 9:45pm on Sunday, 18th August 2024.

“Recall that the transmission line tripped on the 11th August, 2024, following an incident where a truck trailer crashed into a tower in Gunduwawa Village, Gezawa Local Government Area, Kano State, cutting off power supply to Gagarawa and Hadejia Transmission Substations and causing power outages in several communities.

“TCN has re-erected the tower on an emergency basis and has successfully resumed bulk power transmission to Hadejia and Gagarawa Substations.

“We sincerely appreciate the government of Kano State, particularly the residents of communities affected during the outage period, for their patience and understanding.”
