Hon. Ashimiu Afeez-Adio, a two time Federal House of Representative aspirant in Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency in 2019 and 2023 has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his victory in the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).
In his statement released to News247Naija which he signed personally, Hon. Afeez-Adio congratulated President Tinubu on his Tribunal victory. He reiterated that the last election was one of the most peaceful election ever held in the country. He also took time to acknowledge the bravery and purity of judgement of the Tribunal judges led by Justice Haruna Tsammani.
His full statement reads:
“I want to use this medium to congratulate our leader in All Progressives Congress (APC) and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on his victory in the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) which has come to show to the naysayers that the election was free and fair with the nation’s most acceptable candidate as true victor.
“There’s no gainsaying that this last election was one of the best and most peaceful voting system ever held in Nigeria, despite the many accrued insecurity tensions before the date. The people no doubt came out enmass to express their franchise and their will prevailed.
“It must also be noted that the judges led by Justice Haruna Tsammani did a scintillating job of giving the people the best analysed judgement in recent times, which has again left a renewed belief in the judiciary system in our country.
“Once again I extend my congratulations to the President on the tribunal victory and the restored ‘Renewed Hope’ mandate which is regained to lead Nigeria to a new pedestals in national progress.
