Wasiu Ojekunle Foundation Congratulates Okeho Community, Sen Fatai Buhari Over FG’s Approval for Federal University of Agriculture

The President and Founder of Wasiu Ojekunle Foundation (WOF), Eni Iyi Ojekunle Wasiu Olanrewaju has congratulated the good people of Okeho, citizens of Oyo State and distinguished Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Senator Abdul-Fatai Buhari on the historic approval of the Federal University of Agriculture, Okeho by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Eni Iyi Wasiu Ojekunle made this statement on Saturday which he signed personally and made available to newsmen. He harped fully on the monumental benefits and transformational power that the Federal University of Agriculture will bring to Okeho and neighboring communities. He emphasised on the multiple opportunities for economic growth, youth empowerment, job creations, improved infrastructure as well as improving living standards for the people.

“With deep joy and a heart full of gratitude, I congratulate the good people of Okeho, the citizens of Oyo State, and our distinguished Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Abdul-Fatai Buhari at the National Assembly on the monumental approval of the Federal University of Agriculture, Okeho by the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.” Eni Iyi Ojekunle stated.

“This historic development is not only a testament to years of consistent advocacy and vision but also a gateway to economic growth, youth empowerment, and sustainable development in our region.

“As someone whose undergraduate thesis focused on “The Effects of the Establishment of Higher Institutions of Learning in a Community,” I am fully aware of the transformational power such institutions wield. Beyond academic pursuits, they stimulate local economies, create jobs, improve infrastructure, and raise the standard of living for surrounding communities.” he said.

Eni Iyi Ojekunle also advised all critical stakeholders in Okeho and Oyo State at large to embrace the new institution as a tool for self sustenance, while urging them to explore all available opportunities like agriculture, research and business prospects.

“I therefore urge all stakeholders—residents, youth, entrepreneurs, parents, and policymakers—to embrace this institution as a tool for self-sustenance. Let us explore the opportunities it offers, from agriculture and research to vocational and business prospects.

“May this university serve not just as a center of learning, but as a beacon of prosperity for generations to come.” Hon Ojekunle added.

“Once again, congratulations to us all!” he concluded.
