Abdulaziz Yari, the senator representing Zamfara West, has announced his intention to distribute 358 trucks loaded with a variety of food items such as rice, millet, sugar, and maize to the residents of the state in preparation for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
The Chairman of the Publicity Committee of A A Yari Political Organisation, Ibrahim Muhammed, emphasized in a statement released in Gusau on Sunday that the items would be equally distributed to all individuals, regardless of their political affiliations.
He mentioned that approximately 17,500 families are projected to receive assistance from the provisions that will be handed out in 13 out of 14 Local Government Areas in Zamfara state.
He clarified that over 98 percent of the items have been effectively delivered to different local government areas within the state, ensuring that the beneficiaries receive their allocations promptly.
The chairman of the publicity committee has specified that the recipients of the relief supplies will be individuals in need, orphans, widows, and divorcees.
