Dangote Refinery Again Moves Petrol Production from June to Mid-July

Aliko Dangote has announced a new date for the production of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly called Petrol to the general public.

The announcement about the new production date at the $20 billion facility in Lagos was confirmed by Aliko Dangote, the President and CEO of the refinery, during a meeting with journalists on Monday.

Dangote explained that the rescheduling of the date was a result of a minor delay, leading to the transition from the initially planned June to the middle of July.

He said, “We had a bit of delay, but PMS will start coming out by 10 to 15 of July. But then we want to keep it in tank to make sure that it settles. So by third week of July, we’ll be able coming out to take it into the market,”
