LG Elections: Adelabu Visits Oyo APC Secretariat, Motivates Party Excos, Candidates with Financial Support

The Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, on Sunday visited the Oyo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat at Oke-Ado in Ibadan to express his support for the party and candidates ahead of the local government chairmanship and councillorship elections slated for April 27th.

Chief Adelabu during his visit said the gesture was to assist all the party candidates to secure victory at the upcoming local government polls. He also added that the APC will come out victorious in the elections with or without the use of Bimodal Voter Accreditation System.

Adelabu gave the party and candidates including all chairmanship and councillors candidates a humongous sum of N20Million to support their expenses towards the election.

He gave the local government chairmanship candidates N200,000 each and N10m to all the councillorship candidates with all state party executives given N1m with extra N500,000 for transportation, all zonal leaders received N500,000, all women leaders also got N500,000, and N500,000 for the youth wing. He also gave all the 33 LG party chairmen N500,000 for their transportation, while all the party office staff received N200,000 from the power minister.

The minister, in his statement, appealed to the aggrieved party members to come back to the fold of the party and forge a formidable team so as to achieve victory during the coming election.
