As preparation for the August 16 Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election reaches a crescendo, Oyo State, National Orientation Agency (NOA) has intensified efforts to ensure a peaceful, transparent, and inclusive election.
The message in a press release signed and forwarded to the press in ibadan by the agency’s head of media and communication, Alhaji Isiaka Adeniyi. The carrion call for the participatory and hitch free election was part of NOA’s public sensitization on life programme on “The Compass”, a public enlightenment program on Impact Business Radio 92.5 FM.
The edition, the release stated, focused on the preparations for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency Bye-Election scheduled for August 16, 2025.

The statement added that “representing the State Director, Mrs. Ajolayo Sinmiat Akande was the Deputy Director, Civic, Value and Democracy Education, Mrs. Florence Siyanbade.
Mrs. Siyanbade emphasized NOA’s ongoing sensitization campaigns, including town hall meetings and community outreach, to encourage mass voter participation and peaceful conduct. She cautioned against electoral offences such as vote buying and selling of alcohol near polling units.
The host, Mr. Adefemi Mapaderun commended NOA’s efforts and urged citizens to see elections as a civic duty and a path to national development.
Responders on the program affirmed NOA Oyo’s commitment to strengthening democracy through grassroots engagement and civic education as all hands are on deck for a violence free and credible election.”
