Oyo: NOA Celebrates Christmas Carol, As State Director, Afolayan Calls for Unity to Move Nigeria Forward

The Oyo State Chapter of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) held her ‘Christmas Carol and National Prayers cum Special Award Presentation’ program on Thursday at the Agency premises near the Government House in Agodi and it indeed marked a blissful celebration of the very true essence of the Christmas season.

The premises of the NOA was filled with top dignitaries in full attendance with the Chief Host Dr. Olukemi Afolayan, the Director of Oyo State NOA. Also in attendance was the former State Director, Dr. (Mrs) Dolapo Dosunmu and Immediate Past Director, Mr Kayode Odedokun. Other Directors from top agencies were also able represented from SUBEB, FRCN and many others.

The State Director, Dr. Olukemi Afolayan gave a very inspiring opening speech where she urged everyone to be steadfast in the fight and pray to build Nigeria to greater heights. Despite the many situations bedeviling the country in terms of economic meltdown and inflation, it is essential we unite with this season of love to help each other as individuals and nation to fight through this period to achieve a better Nigeria.

The former State Director Dr. Dolapo Dosunmu in her address also charge everyone to live through Christmas season with love as likened with the birth of Jesus Christ who came to the world to share divine blessings with the world. In the same vein, the former Director also advised everyone to live together with everyone in good spirit to fight through this hard but temporary period in the Nigerian system. She passionately appealed to every to be their brothers keeper by living together, to lend a hand to the needy whenever the opportunity arises.

The Chairman of the occasion, Prince Sanda Adesola who is also the Deputy Director NOA, Oyo State also reminded everyone that the Christmas Carol is an annual event at the NOA which has been in existence for the past few years and marks the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. He also advised everyone in the country to be hopeful that the country will be better and the citizens should continue praying that the nation will be a better place for all.

The epic Christmas Carol also witnessed ministry session from Pastor Ayodele Adelegan who filled the atmosphere with the good news of the Bible. There was also inspiring musical sessions by the Choir ministry who sang soul reaching songs of praise and worship as holy renditions and celebrations of the Holy period of Christmas.
