Allah commands justice, sincerity, and consciousness of Him in all our affairs. As we gather for Jumuah, we are reminded that every action we take, every word we speak, and every intention we hold matters in the sight of our Creator. This blessed day calls us to reflect on our conduct, renew our faith, and remember that every soul will inevitably return to its Lord.
Allah says in the Noble Qur’an: “Indeed, Allah commands justice, excellence (ihsan), and giving to relatives, and forbids immorality, bad conduct, and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded.” (Surah An-Nahl, Chapter 16, Verse 90).
This verse encompasses the foundation of our faith—justice in our dealings, excellence in our worship, compassion toward our families, and restraint from all forms of wrongdoing. Justice means being fair even when it’s difficult. Excellence means worshipping Allah as though we see Him, for even if we don’t see Him, He certainly sees us. Giving to relatives strengthens the bonds that Allah has commanded us to maintain.
Jumuah is not just a day of congregational prayer; it is a weekly opportunity to pause, reflect, and recalibrate our hearts and actions. It reminds us that this life is temporary, that our deeds are being recorded, and that we will stand before Allah to account for how we lived.
May this blessed Jumuah purify our hearts from heedlessness, renew our commitment to righteous conduct, and strengthen our resolve to worship Allah with sincerity. May He grant us the wisdom to act justly, the strength to excel in our worship, and the compassion to care for those around us.
Jumuah Mubarak to you and your families. May Allah accept our prayers, forgive our shortcomings, and guide us on the straight path
