President Bola Tinubu during the plenary senate a letter to withdraw the nomination of Maryam Shetty as ministerial nominee and was replaced by Mariya Mahmoud.
The President also sent in Festus Keyamo name as a ministerial nominee.
The news came when Maryam Shetty was already at the Senate Assembly for her screening exercise.
Maryam Shetty has immediately has also confirmed the incident on her Twitter page, @MaryamShetty_ with a message that reads:
Just In.
I was just informed now at today’s plenary session that President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has withdraw my ministerial nomination and replaced her with Dr Mairiga Mahmud.
I’m grateful and thankful for any decision from you My President!
