Oyo: NOA Congratulates Aare Musulumi, Dawud Makanjuola Akinola; Charges Citizens to Imbibe Patriotism

The State Director of the National Orientation Agency, Oyo state Directorate, Dr Olukemi Afolayan has poured encomiums on the Aare Musulumi of Ibadan land, Edo and Delta states for being a rallying point for progress and unquantifiable development in Oyo state.

Dr Olukemi Afolayan stated this while presenting a goodwill message to felicitate the Aare Musulumi on the grand occasion of his decoration as the Grand Commander of Ibadan culture and the Most Patriotic Ibadan Indigene (MPII) by the Central Council of Ibadan indigenes.

The State Director in a press release in Ibadan on Sunday emphasised that if everyone would be passionate and focus their attention on the unity and progress of Ibadan land and Nigeria as a whole without borders, there would be improvement in our society.

Dr Afolayan also used the occasion to encourage people to be more patriotic and resolute than ever before to do what can make society better. She reiterated the fact that the government alone cannot do everything but individuals too can contribute their quotas to societal progress.

She added that the decoration is a deserving honour for the Aare Musulumi who has left no stone unturned to advance community values and peaceful coexistence in Ibadanland, Oyo state and Nigeria. The NOA Director is hopeful that the Aare’s outstanding virtues will earn him national recognition soon. She therefore prayed for renewed energy for him to make more contributions to nation-building.
