Oyo: Oyo Achievers Forum Commend President Tinubu for Economical Reforms & Credible Ministerial Nominees Inline with Renewed Hope Agenda

The Oyo Achievers’ Forum (OAF) recently held its mid-year meeting at the Foundational Office, Jericho, Ibadan, to deliberate on various activities of government and critical reforms taking place in the economy. The forum, with its objectives centered around societal growth, political advancement and nation building, discussed key issues affecting the state and the nation at large.

During the meeting, led by the President, John Afolabi (Calculator), the forum acknowledged and appreciated the bold decisions taken by the government in introducing reforms, such as the removal of fuel subsidies and the exchange unification. These decisions are aimed at freeing up economic resources for productive and efficient use, which will contribute to the development and progress of the nation. The forum recognizes that these reforms should be implemented alongside well-structured palliative measures to alleviate any adverse welfare implications on the citizens.

For far too long, the economy has relied on Petro-dollar receipts, which failed to foster a true and sustainable growth in various sectors. Instead, it became a breeding ground for looting of our patrimony by different government bureaus and elected officials. The removal of subsidies is seen as a step towards building a more viable and productive economy that can cater to the needs of all strata of society.

The forum also acknowledges and supports the government’s resolve to tackle the issue of insecurity using both behavioral and military approaches. This multi-faceted approach aims to strengthen the security architecture of the country and ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens.

Additionally, the Oyo Achievers’ Forum commends the composition of the ministerial nominees by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from various states. The nominees’ blend of political experience and technocratic backgrounds is a strategic move to assist Mr. President in delivering on his Renewed Hope mantra for the nation.

The forum believes that such expertise and diverse perspectives are crucial in addressing the nation’s challenges and realizing its full potential. We urge the nominated ministers to prioritize the interests of the Nigerian people and work diligently towards achieving sustainable development and progress.

As a forum committed to the growth and development of Oyo State and the nation, we pledge our continued support to the government’s efforts in implementing positive reforms and policies that will uplift the lives of the people and propel the country to greater heights.

In conclusion, the Oyo State Achievers’ Forum remains steadfast in its commitment to the welfare of the people and the progress of the nation. We are dedicated to working collaboratively with the government and other stakeholders to foster a prosperous and inclusive society for all.
