The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp has reopened in Maiduguri, Borno State on Tuesday 22 August 2023 after 13 years it was suspended due to the insurgency.
The resumption of camp orientation activity signifies that peace has returned to the state as gallant troops of OPERATION HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to record successes in the ongoing Counter Insurgency and Counter Terrorism operations in the Northeastern states of Nigeria.
This is a giant feat for the Nigerian Military in the battle against insurgency which in the past has seen total lockdown in both social and business activities in Maiduguri due to incessant kidnapping and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) being thrown around the capital city in the past.
