Kaduna: Bandits Invade Mosque, Kills Seven Worshippers

A mosque at Saya-Saya Village in the Ikara Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Friday was invaded by some unknown bandits who killed seven people including worshippers who came to offer their prayers to God in the Islamic rights.

News247Naija gathered that the incident occurred while the Muslim worshippers were observing the Ishai prayers at a local mosque in the area, five yet-to-be-identified worshippers, including a vigilante leader, were gunned down by the hoodlums during the prayers session.

It was reported that the community vigilante leader was trailed to the mosque where he and the other victims were shot and killed.

An eyewitness who narrated the incident said the bandits traced the vigilante leaders to the mosque to attack him, He also recounted the number of victims who died from the gruesome attack.

“We suspected they traced the vigilante leader to the mosque to attack him. We were inside the mosque praying when they arrived and started shooting. Five persons were killed in the mosque, while a driver who brought food items to the village, was also killed. The other person was killed at a nearby village,” he said.
