Monday Reflections: I See Hope in the Horizon that Nigeria will Rise Again || Aderemi Ogundele

It is true that the times are hard and Nigerians are badly hit. There cannot be any pretence about this fact. But thanks to goodness, Mr President has expressly accepted responsibility for the trying times. No blame game of any sort. And having the courage in taking such overdue decisions and actions now is the way to go.

The Psalmist actually envisaged a situation like this in the life of a man. And he stated : “Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes in the morning”. In other words, when the nights are long and the sorrow is unrelenting and you wonder if it’s ever going to end, the Psalmist makes it clear, it is going to end. Nothing has a beginning and does not have an end except the Almighty God.

Therefore, standing on the trueness of the above assertion, I see hope in Nigeria overcoming this unpalatable, unhealthy and unspeakable economic condition and social vices

I see hope in the ability and courage of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for being able to take those hard decisions just like Nelson Mandela, Elon Musk, and Dr. Anthony Fauci did when it actually mattered.

I see hope in this economic downturn, it will surely bounce back and the present adversity will turn to prosperity.

I see hope in our people being taken out of this gloomy and melancholic condition into the the state of hopefulness and affluence.

I see hope in the fact that the present darkness shall give way for the light to emerge, our wants shall turn into abundance, and this prevailing scarcity shall give way to sufficiency.

I see hope that in spite of the myriad of challenges bedeviling the nation: banditry and kidnapping, economic sabotage and corruption, insurgency and Fulani-Herders Farmers’ clashes, a new dawn is certainly in the horizon.

I see hope in the ruggedness of Nigerians from Lagos to Maiduguri, and from Port Harcourt to Sokoto in enduring the challenges of economic hardship and that of the insecurity in the land. We shall successfully weather the storm.

I see hope in the ability of the present administration resetting Nigeria, unlocking her potentials and navigating the sinking ship out of danger in the foreseeable future.

Finally, I see hope in what a popular Ifa Priest predicted before the emergence of PBAT in May 25, 2023 presidential election. Baba Ifalere Ifagbenro said out of divinity, “It will still end in praise to Eledumare (God) for an Asiwaju Tinubu Presidency. Eku a ke bi eku, eiye a ke bi eiye, the old will not bury their young, the pregnant will deliver safely, the glory of the youth will soar, the citizens will all be further liberated from the shackles of poverty, ignorance and bigotry, disease etc and they with the foreigners who are lover of Nigeria shall be blessed by this land our forbears bequeathed legitimate stakeholders in this nation during his term in office. All the enemies of Nigeria will continue to lose…ASE WAA!!!”

With this, let’s keep hope alive!
