Oyo: Jumoke Fakayode Vows to Support Women, Youth If Voted as Councillor for Ward 11 in Ona-Ara LG

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Councillorship candidate in Ona-Ara Local Government from Ward 11, Hon. Jumoke Fakayode Tawakalitu has vowed to support women and youth if voted for in the upcoming local government election on April 27th.

Hon Jumoke made this declaration when she addressed the people of Ona-Ara LG in ward 11 whilst declaring her programs and manifestos to the electorates in Oremeji Babanla area.

She assured the women and youth present of her support if she is voted for. According to her, this special consideration aside her primary responsibilities, stems from her unflinching proponent for women and youth in the society as they remain the driving force of any economy.

“In our continued efforts to support the people in our local district and promote progressivism in our party, I’m appealing to our people for assured solidarity and support for our women and youth in our community.” Hon Fakayode said.

“Our primary function centers on votes on local acts and regulations that governs local administration as well as local policies and performing oversight functions, however empowering our women and youth will also fall under our purview and plans if I am duly voted for come April 27th.” she stated.

Hon. Fakayode also made particular mention of the old women in the community as well as the widows whom she said will be included in her lined up programs for empowerment and health support scheme.

“The aged women in the community will also form a major composition of our support scheme and empowerment programs as well as the widows in the community. Basic health programs and support projects are also in the offing for the elderly women, youths and widows to buffer the economic impact.” Jumoke added.

Thereafter Hon. Fakayode enjoined all electorates in Ona-Ara Local Government to vote the APC in the coming election so as to promote accountability in the local government system and subsequently full autonomy.

“I also want to use this opportunity to urge our people in Ona-Ara Local Government to come all out to vote the APC on April 27. This is very important to aid adequate accountability of the local government system and full autonomy which remains the end goal of local government system in the state and Nigeria altogether”. she concluded.
